Alpha-5
Test Objective
This test is conducted to evaluate the stability of the WBTS code to
process orders from a large group of players and to responsively simulate a
multi-theater campaign in the WBTS game engine.
[25 Sept] To test the revised PEP software a limited number of
Governorships have been made. The Governorships are listed at > STATE
HOUSE/STATE APPOINTMENTS < on the pull-down menu after you do player
log-in. These Governors will be able to ASSIGN the units of their state to
active players.
[13 Nov] BEFORE YOU SUBMIT ORDERS FOR T5-CM3 all
players must download and install WBTS ver 4.0.7 .exe file. Go
here and follow the instructions for "current WBTS .exe" download.
[13 Nov] Version 4.0.7 demonstration page added.
Go here to see examples of the new
Franco-Mexican scenario module.
[27 Nov] The WBTS Alpha Test
starts a week of 24-hour turns on Monday, 27 Nov. Orders will be processed
every day at 3AM (EST-USA) (guess no daylight savings time shift in
Australia). Monday's turn will be PEP submissions. Tuesday's (actually at
3AM Weds) turn will be the 1st turn of the new Campaign Mode. The CM will
go 3x turns (3AM Wednesday through 3AM Friday) take the week-end off and
pick up the fight again on Monday at 3AM (Sunday's orders)
[20 Dec] The ALPHA-5 Test has concluded. Go
here for download of the final turn (T6-CM5) results (afternoon - 24
January 1864). The Test Director and staff of the ALPHA-5 Test would like to thank the players for their support and relible participation through the 25+ turns of the game. There will be a post-test forum for discussion of the software and to foster ideas to improve the game engine. Stand ready for subsequent notifications.
