WBTS Entrance Exam for the CWOL Academy |

Academy Entrance Exam (pre-entry requirements) |

Requirement #1: Applicant downloads & installs WBTS ver
7.xx successfully |
|
Requirement #2: Applicant downloads latest version of
Manual of Arms (MoA), reviews the MoA, & answers general knowledge
questions. |
|
Requirement #3: Applicant issues a WBTS-generated email
to the Academy Registrar. |
|
NOTE: Applicants that fail these three
tasks will not be allowed in the OJT course. |

OJT Course |
|
PLEBE YEAR (Must complete 7x tasks): |
|
TASK #1: Cadet must read the Manual of Arms (user's
manual) about the UCS and the use of the interface controls (TAC Officer
will verify) |
|
TASK #2: Cadet describes how to use the 'rosette' to
determine the unit's orientation in all cardinal directions. |
|
TASK #3: Cadet uses the WBTS UCS to move assigned unit
forward |
|
TASK #4: Cadet uses the WBTS UCS to wheel 90 degrees to
the left & right |
|
TASK #5: Cadet uses the WBTS UCS to change the unit
field of view to: a) survey the field; b) to re-orient the player to unit's
orientation (NOTE: TAC Officer will verify how the cadet knows when
he has established the same field of view orientation as the assigned unit) |
|
TASK #6: Cadet uses the UCS to back up straight & then
at 45 degrees from the original axis of movement. |
|
TASK #7: Cadet uses the WBTS embedded email orders
system to email orders (NOTE: TAC Officer will have cadet setup his
WBTS email to send the orders to the TAC Officer) |

YEARLING YEAR (Must complete 4x tasks): |
|
TASK #8: Cadet issues orders to "hold" his unit's
position in coordination w/ another unit's move to avoid collision |
|
TASK #9: Cadet uses the UCS to aim the assigned unit's
weapons |
|
TASK #10: Cadet uses the UCS to adjust unit position to
engage enemy 120 degrees to the flank |
|
TASK #11: Cadet uses the UCS to issue FIRE order on
assigned target |

UPPERCLASSMEN YEAR(s) (Must complete 8x tasks) |
|
TASK #12: Cadet uses the "palm map" on the UCS to plan a
unit movement to a location out of direct sight of the unit |
|
TASK #13: Cadet uses the UCS & the "palm map" to plot a
movement to avoid restrictive terrain |
|
TASK #14: Cadet uses the WBTS menu bar to locate and
open the Operational Map |
|
TASK #15: Cadet uses the Operational Map to determine
location on the US Map (via landmarks) |
|
TASK #16: Cadet uses landmarks from the Operational Map
to navigate a multi-turn movement & communicate this planned move to the TAC
Officer |

TASK #17: Cadet demonstrates the ability to identify on
the 'palm map', the Operational Map, and the UCS unit field of view screen
terrain representing roads, open fields, woods, hills, cultivated fields,
railroads, town landmarks, and fords. |

TASK #18: Cadet demonstrates the ability to identify on
the 'palm map', the Operational Map, and the UCS unit field of view screen
the various forms of prohibited terrain (mountains, rivers, red barrier
hexes) |
|
TASK #19: Using the UCS, the Cadet guides his assigned
unit to embark on RR or naval transport |
